Hello, My name is Holly and my husbands name is Jason. We recently stayed in this condo oct 5-12 in 2019. THE VIEW - JUST WOW!!!! Words cant describe how beautiful the view was. The pool was very clean and the room was so cute with the decor and we loved the view from the shower window. Every inch of the place had an amazing view of the whole island. We saw goats and donkeys riding up the road to the house almost every day. The house is very close to all the beaches within 10-15 min drive to all the beaches and about 10 min drive to most restaurants then about 25 min drive to town to cruz bay. We had such a great time and it was so romantic and relaxing! We had the whole place to ourselves and it was so amazing to get away just me and my husband. The room had provided: coolers and beach chairs and beach bags and all the things we needed for the beaches. The grocery store was only like 10 min away which was a plus. I will be back for sure! This was such a great place! I can not say one thing bad about this place. The owners even texted me while we were there to make sure we were happy and everything was going good. It was an AMAZING TRIP!!!!

My wife and I stayed a Suite Papaya for eight nights and enjoyed every minute. The property has a great location and is very secluded high on the mountain side. The huge covered porches was our favorite part with outstanding views and very comfortable breezes, even in August. We did not get to meet Ron and Sue but it is clear that they take great pride in their property. Would consider staying at Suite Papaya any time we are in St John

Every detail on the property was meticulously crafted and well thought out. I enjoyed spending time on the huge deck taking in the island views and relaxing. Super private location with visiting deer every morning. No neighbors, no noise, no problems.

The house, the view, the location, the island just simply 5 stars. It was truly a great experience and thank you to the Yackel’s for opening their home to us. Will be returning soon!

The official greeter of the Papaya Suite is Thelma the dog, who welcomes you to the island and only charges in belly rubs. Ron and Sue were wonderful hosts who gave us the inside scoop on all the great local spots to enjoy the beauty of Coral Bay on the east side of the island. The Papaya Suite was perfect, waking up to sun cascading into the windows each morning. The place was immaculate, updated, and the views were stunning from the spacious back deck. All the extras, cooler, towels, even snorkel gear were shared with us which was great as we did not have to pack those additional items. With a pool, hot tub, and fantastic views you could easily be content just staying in, if it were not for the gorgeous beaches beckoning you. Papaya Suite felt like home and the only bad part was having to leave. We will definitely only want to stay here in our future visits to St. John.

We were blown away at the endless mountain views from the large covered deck of Papaya Moon Villa! It was hard to stop staring out at Coral Bay, Hurricane Hole, the east end of St. John and beyond to the British Virgin Islands! We felt like we were at a secluded tropical resort with papaya and palm trees surrounded by lush floral gardens. Suite Papaya, on the lower deck, was the perfect size for the both of us. It had everything we needed to feel relaxed, cook dinners in or grill out on the pool deck. Most days started early with sunrise coffee on the breezy covered deck, then quiet mornings at the beach with great snorkeling and a picnic lunch. We enjoyed afternoons in and around the pool and relaxing in the hot tub at night under the moon and stars. We loved how easy it was to drive to the villa on fully paved roads with street signs and plenty of parking. Now that we’ve discovered Papaya Moon and the peaceful, laid back beauty of Coral Bay, we can’t imagine staying anywhere else! My husband and I recently spent 9 nights in suite papaya and had a fabulous trip. Communications with Ron/Sue were always prompt. Very detailed directions to the property given. Road is completely paved and easy to negotiate. The location is perfect as it is completely quiet and sits at the very end of the road, yet you are only 10-15 min to the best snorkel spots and 20 minutes to Cruz Bay. The grounds were spectacular. Not only are the views from everywhere wonderful, but the plants, trees, and flowers Sue has all around the property are beautiful. Pool was refreshing, not cold like Coral Bay pools tend to be as it gets full sun and there are plenty of lounge chairs and a picnic table for dinners by the pool if you wish....some of the loungers do permit you to be in the shade as well. The views from the hot tub are the best and we got to enjoy it on a full moon night. The unit is spotless inside, lots of storage, great views and breezes from the covered balcony. The kitchen has enough to make simple meals and the full size fridge is appreciated. Bed was comfortable and we slept solid until the sun came out. There are no curtains on most windows, so if light wakes you, might need your sleep mask. We like to get up and go, so this worked fine for us. The AC unit worked great to cool off the unit for sleeping. Dont need it during the day at all. Windows/doors are well-screened to keep biting bugs out! There is a very long retractable clothes line to hang wet clothes on which we used every day. Good hot water too. Ron and Sue were great hosts, there for any questions, but also giving you privacy the rest of the time. We just loved Thelma the dog. I loved getting my dog snuggles in since we were missing our pup at home. We would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Papaya Suite in November of 2021. This is by far the most unique and stunning property weve stayed at on St. John. Driving up to the villa on the well maintained paved roads was so easy, and its location is very convenient to some of the worlds best beaches on the North Shore. The views are majestic and awe-inspiring, and the property is so lovely. There is plenty of outdoor space on the wrap around deck as well as in the pool area. The pool itself was very special and was constructed with a material that was smooth, not slippery, and easy on the feet (if you have ever stayed on a property with a pool on St. John, you know what Im talking about!). On one side of the deck, we loved looking at the twinkling lights of Coral Bay at night, and on the other side, we took in sublime views of the East End and the BVIs. The suite itself, fully stocked with everything we needed, was beautifully quaint and tastefully embellished with local art as well as high quality furnishings. This is a lovingly well-maintained property, and the hosts, Sue and Ron, gave us the perfect balance of privacy while being there to answer our questions and providing tips such as where to find live music on Coral Bay at night. We highly recommend that you stay at this gem of a property, and we will definitely stay at Papaya Suite again!
