We just spent 9 delightful days at Papaya Moon hosted by Ron and Sue. They are the ultimate hosts. Their beautiful home site includes tropical gardens, a pool, and a hot tub. Our suite, A Place in the Sun, is perfectly named. The studio is cheerful, efficient, and comfortable. The sun gently wakes you in the morning, the breeze rocks you to sleep at night , and the views of Coral Bay and BVI are beyond stunning from the immense wrap-around deck. We were fortunate to have met wonderful guests staying in the Papaya Moon unit. We hope to return to Papaya Moon in the future...highly recommended!

This breathtaking property is something I hope my dreams remember daily. We had the most amazing vacation here. From the beaches within a short drive, to the hot tub and pool on property. The views, the sunrises and sunsets, A Place in the Sun is going to be my favorite place to visit from now on. The options are endless on island from paddle boarding, snorkeling, hiking, live bands, great food. To be able to come back to A Place in the Sun for a nice evening, moon and star views, thinking of it brings me back to the smells and feeling of vacation life. If you are so lucky to be able to rent A Place in the Sun, you will never forget it and you will long to return. Ron and Sue take care of everything so that your stay is comfortable and unforgettable. Stay here, and you won't stay anywhere else on island!

We just came back from our stay at Papaya Moon and we can't wait to go back! The studio was spotless and had all the amenities (kitchen, beach chairs, cooler). The view was unreal and the two sliding doors open up to a huge wraparound deck. There is a jacuzzi and a pool! The view from the jacuzzi was amazing!!! Sue & Ron were very gracious hosts - they made sure our stay was effortless. We would definitely recommend staying there.

Ron and Sue are excellent hosts and the views from the deck and hot tub are incredible!! This is a great place to relax and unwind away from the crowds, but only 15-20 minutes from most of the beautiful beaches!! A true gem with wonderful hosts!!!

The views above Coral Bay are amazing from the deck and the sunrises over the BVI's from the hot tub with a cup of coffee are beyond description!! Ron and Sue were so accomodating from the time we arrived until our departure and were there to help us plan some activities and even dinner reservations. Truly a laid back location, but; all the beaches were still accessable in 15-20 minutes via the jeep and Cruz Bay was only 30 minutes if you are looking for more action.

I was on a solo trip to find some peace and quiet and Papaya Moon was the perfect place to stay. The home and grounds and beautiful and well maintained. My suite was spotless and well appointed with all I needed for the week (even beach chairs and a cooler). The view was breathtaking. I woke every morning to a gorgeous sunrise and somehow each morning seemed better than the one before. It was an easy trip over to the north shore beaches, convenient to hiking and only 30 mins to Cruz Bay if you want to venture in to town. Ron and Sue were helpful and friendly, but gave me total privacy and seclusion. I give this 5 stars for sure!

A Place in the Sun is a perfect place for a couple to relax. Ron and Sue are wonderful hosts, happy to answer any questions and give plenty of local tips on restaurants, activities, and locations to snorkel, hike, or lay on the beach. The views from the villa are absolutely stunning--looking out to the mountains, ocean, St Johns East End, and the British Virgin Islands in the distance. I cannot emphasize enough how great are the views! We didnt use the pool or hottub much, but they were nice options. The location is centrally located between the north shore beaches and the quaint little town of Coral Bay. This is the quieter part of the island, far removed from the semi-bustle of Cruz Bay. We will hope to return soon to this exact villa--it is that good... Youre in a magical place--focus on the beauty all around you and relax.

What a fantastic, quiet and beautiful place. The hosts were helpful and knowledgeable about the island, Its a great location for exploring, hiking, and close to many beaches. Very comfortable and plenty of room with the big open balconies.

5 stars all around. Owners Ron and Sue were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the Coral Bay side of the island. The unit had everything that I needed, was in great shape, and the views were nothing short of stunning. Not sure there is a better sunrise view anywhere on the island. The unit was very conveniently located, with access to the north shore beaches a short, pleasant drive away. This place was exactly what I was looking for and for 5 nights, I felt like I had the world to myself. I will absolutely be back!

This location is amazing, and so are the hosts! We had an amazing time over the New Year holidays for 6 nights staying with Sue and Ron in the "A Place in the Sun" suite. If youre debating between this spot and somewhere else on St. John, forget the other place and stay here, even if it means spending a bit more. The views are phenomenal, and youre fairly close to Coral Bay markets, bars, and restaurants. Ron and Sue went out of their way to help us in many ways, and provided excellent recommendations about local events, food spots, and recreation. You will definitely need to rent a vehicle (SUV) if youre staying here, since the taxis likely will not go all the way to the house. The suite included chairs, a small cooler, two swim noodles, and snorkel equipment of which we took full advantage to make our many beach trips even better. The kitchen had everything we could want for the cooking and beverage concocting that we did. The bed was very comfortable, and we were never too hot or too cold after adjusting the windows and doors for an optimal breeze either during the day or night. Everything was exactly as we hoped for, or better. We will definitely be making a return trip to stay at Papaya Moon as soon as we can. Thanks again Ron and Sue!
